Working in Brazil:
For foreigners to stay and work in Brazil you generally require a permit. This involves a "Carteira" for temporary residency, and a "Carteira de trabalho" for working which enables you to work legally.
Foreigners can also apply for a Pemmanent residence visa if you plan on staying in Brazil for a long time. This lapses if you stay out of Brazil for more than 2 years without returning during that time period.

Accommodation:
If you wish to rent a house or an apartment you will have to sign a contract binding you to a time period with rent being paid usually on a monthly basis. Make sure you understand and read the small print as nearly all contracts will carry fines or penalties for late payment of rent or early termination of contract.
We, at Bella Temporada have our own very attractive and modern apartments, and no hidden pitfalls in rental agreements to worry about. Residents will also find us always willing to help out where we can.
